I don't think she was a stand out basketball player, but she showed great coaching potential in her first and only year as head coach for the United States Military Academy women's basketball team from 2005-2006. She apparently took the job a little less than 2 weeks before the start of the season. However, she lead her team to a 20-11 (or somewhere abouts) season and they won the Patriot League tournament. She got the Army team to the NCAA tournament, but lost in the first round to the LVs. Interestingly enough, her brother was head coach for the men's BB team at Pitt and his team was playing in the NCAA tournament as well. Apparently, after her team lost to the LVs, she went to see some of the men's NCAA tournament and then went home and collapsed. She died of an enlarged heart at 28 years of age. Very sad story.
