They ruled it a 2, so had Florida's guy that is in denial of his receding hairline made that layup, they would have won.

So overtime was never really on the table.

I only thought it was a 3, because the announcer called it a 3. So, I thought we were up by 2 until the time ran out, and I saw the score. I thought Tyus was shooting for the tie. I felt a lot luckier when I saw he could have won it for them. I probably would have been a tad more ecstatic when he missed had I known the actual score.

I just played it back. CBS gave us 62 and didn't change it back to 61 until after Tyus missed. The PA announcer at TBA also called it a 3. It's very possible the Gators thought they were down 2. Not that it really matters; it would have been a much bigger deal had they been down 2 and played like they were down 3.

Florida blowing their last timeout on the inbounds was huge.
