T'was. Been playing it at B-Ball games for at least 2 years now. It was played at football games this year.

The only two FB games I was at were the UCLA & Ole Miss debacles this year and must not have been paying attention.

Gotcha. Well they've got it, but they don't quite have the "soul" of UAPB, among others...

Best version I have seen is alabama state. When the flag girls get into it, it's pretty crunk.

Sadly, "Iron Man" continues to be an institution of the POTSMB. Doesnt get me fired up at all.

It's because it's short enough to throw in before 3rd downs. Most songs are too late developing to fit into a 20 second time slot (from roughly 5 seconds after a dead ball to when the team breaks the huddle)

Nah LSU stole it from Southern, another Baton Rouge school. Southern does it the best.
LSU plays it constantly and the whole stadium gets into the 'head' dance, including little kids and old women. It's pretty funny.
I started to hate it in Atlanta 07 when I ended up wearing orange in the LSU section, and heard it nonstop.
I like adding new songs, but I don't like to borrow things from another SEC school's style.

Well...Almost every HBCU plays it. Southern is an HBCU. Therefore, they play it because the HBCU bands play it.

I always liked this song. Our rival HS played it and we clashed every year in basketball for the title and see who was got the easier road to state. Just always reminds me of big time sports

Always thought UT needed our own short ditty to play (like UGA had the "bad bad Leroy Brown" short blast to rally thier "Junkyard Dog" defense. For the Vols, it would seem the chorus from "Davey Crockett" - Kings of the Wild Frontier would be a nice rally cry
