They are in the 24 in the composite for overall talent with 0 five star players on their team and a blue chip ratio <40% and they are in the national championship game.

For the record Michigan is 14th and we are 16th.

We may have missed some big names recruiting but we are recruiting well enough to win it all.

Something that needs to be considered. Their schedule and we play in the SEC. Completely different animal.
Playing a SEC schedule? Who did Alabama have injured and did not play in this game? From your post it sounds like we need to exclude SEC teams from the playoffs due to hardships. Snowflake syndrome in effect here.

They have several players that will have their name called on day 1 and 2 of the upcoming draft. I don't care what conference they are in, this Washington team is going to compete with anyone.

OP is trying to use a statistical outlier in an argument. That’s the point. Hardships? Hardly. Point is the SEC is the toughest conference. You think Washington goes undefeated in the SEC? Highly doubtful.

But whatever you wanna think snowflake.

Maybe. Maybe not. Would they beat UGA? Bama? Maybe. Maybe not.

people don't want to hear it but coaching matters too. even in this day and age.

a HC that is a better recruiter is able to get away with being a lesser X's & O's coach. A coach who excels in the X's & O's doesn't NEED to recruit at the same level. very very few are good at both, that is why Nick Saban is the best he was good at both, better than most.

also, luck is always a factor to win a championship. who gets hurt, when you play an opponent, weather, even the way the oddly shaped football bounces (Stoerner) all come into play.
