i posted on this board once before, but under someone elses name. enjoyed the conversation, so i decided to get my own account.
i'll start off my membership with a few little tidbits about myself.
i'm 6'4, 230 and ripped, so don't F with me (just kidding).
i'm a student at UTK.
my name spelled backwards is tennesseevolunteer.
i went to the spring game.
i talked to people
i talked to jimmy clausen for a minute. asked him if he was gonna follow casey and rick and be a volunteer, he said..."i'll give you two guesses and a hint." i asked, "what's the hint?" he said, "the answer isn't 'no'." we both laughed for a second and i said, "helllllllll yes!!!!" he can't wait to get here, fyi.
but i'm all about jon crompton and think he will win a heisman before he's done. best HS QB i've ever seen, bar none. i saw him twice last year as i'm from the same area and he's amazing. he'll push RC for the job this year (and yes, RC will beat out EA).
next up, on a more crappy note, i know what tyler smith's decision is going to be. he is going to ask out of his LOI on wednesday and that will be granted by coach pearl. smith will end up at the University of Texas by august. mark that down. he was planning on asking out today, but coach pearl refused to grant a release until the two parties could meet again.
also, i talked to OC Wardlow and Carl Johnson while at the Orange and white game and OC said he's a vol already! Carl Johnson wasn't quite as straight forward, but implied that UT was the leader and he'd really like to be a vol. Mario Fannin, like wardlow, said he will be a vol (but he hasn't been offered).
i am friends with brandon warren, too. he is a vol, just trying to get a little exposure by playin with these other schools. for some reason, he thinks by not committing early he'll get ranked higher and be a top 100 player (which is probably true, even though it's a stupid reason not to commit). he'll take all his visits, but he'll DEFINITELY be a vol. take that one to the bank.
so....nice to meet you folks. i'm sure i'll enjoy this board and i hope you all enjoy me while i'm here!
