on Bill Maher's show on HBO. Usually I don't watch that show (it being so obviously leftist), but I saw he was on and so I watched. He more than held his own against FOUR other libs. That seems to be a common theme on the shows I have watched... 3 or 4 libs versus 1 Republican.

Watch Fox...at least they let them go one on one.
Please tell me you are kidding one on one I guess A.) you are not counting the hosts all right right right of center or B.) that the host decides how much time each guest gets to speak without being interrupted and stopped maybe you've never heard of the term "cut his mic" by my guesstimates the republicans usually get about 3 times the amount of speaking time than the dems counting the right wing host.

You mean all the air time, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and 75% of the print media in this country is left, or left of left. At least FOX brings on other points of views. Watch Keith Olbermann, and see how many points of views creep in on that piece of garbage.

Let's see Fox has Alan Colmes who has half a show and anyone who has ever watched it knows that Sean gets more airtime now MSNBC let's see what do they have Joe Scarboro ex GOP congressman has his OWN show Tucker Carlson GOP pundit has his OWN show.So please complain when Roger Ailes (an oldtime gop politico) gives a true liberal his own show and remember only one channel lies about being FAIR and BALANCED.Oh by the way Olberman's show is one of the if not the fastest growing show on cable news.:eek:k::good!:

:lolabove: Drudge posts the ratings I suggest you check them out. And I wouldn't lump Joe and Tucker in the same mold as a Rush or Levin.

I did not say overall ratings I said growth let me explain this to you if a show has 1000 viewers a night in 2005 and 2000 in 2006 that show has grown by 100% get it:) I can find many other sources that deal only with tv ratings than Drudge who'll put about anything out there. I also believe that MSNBC had Michael Savage on the payroll also please let me know when FNC does anything remotely as balanced as MSNBC has I'll be waiting.:whistling::birgits_giggle:

Fox is conservative and no one disputes that, my rebuttle to your post was that Fox is one, the bulk of media in this country is liberal. As far Hannity and Colmes, if you ever watch the show, when they conduct an interview with a guest, they get the same amount of time to question that guest. Maybe thats not fair in your eyes. Considering that Hannity has the #2 rated talk radio show in the country, some would question why even have Colmes on there. Good for them for having at least an "appearance" of equal time. And for Olbermann, only one opinion on that show, considering where his ratings were to start with, hell, no place to go but up. But at the end of the day, if you don't like the "lies" of Fox, their is always 60 minutes for you. Because they are always fair and balanced.

That's like if I owned a network and got Bill on one side, and McCain on the other. Not exactly "balanced".

Exactly right, and as far as Michael Savage, he's entertaining, but he also hates everybody, Reb, and Dems alike. His show is like watching NASCAR and waiting for the big wreck, its just a matter of time.

Are you kidding me? Michael Savage has 10 mil. listeners a week, on 410 Radio stations. He is 3rd behind Hannity and the Golfer. Those cars will be going around the track for a long time.

The liberal media theory is a myth. Read this.

Myths Debunked - The Liberal Media

Look who owns the biggest part of our media. Rupert Murdoch, Michael Eisner, General Electric, Time-Warner AOL and Viacom are not all owned by liberals. Why would a bunch of companies owned by conservatives promote a liberal message? CBS is owned by Viacom as are many channels.

Another question, since many of you believe this and want fairness on the TV set and in your newspapers than how come you don't demand the same fairness on your radio? Why is it ok for conservatives to control the airwaves yet you complain about what CBS, NBC or ABC is doing? Shouldn't you demand the same respect from your party to be fair on the radio?

I think they gave Air America a try, can't make folks listen to something they don't want to hear.

I know Air America was on XM but how many markets was it on free am/fm radio such as Rush, Hannity, Savage, Field and Stream (yeah they talk about politics more than hunting),Phil Valentine (local), Steve Gill (local) and Glenn Beck to name a few. I agree, Tennessee is a conservative state, especially east, and a liberal radio station wouldn't do well but this is the same way everywhere. What about a liberal state like New Jersey? I find it hard to believe that "liberal" media sells so well on TV and in your newspaper yet it doesn't on the radio. If people really don't want to hear the liberal message people claim to hear on these main TV channels than why do the conservatives that own these media companies pump the liberal message out? Maybe because it doesn't exist? They didn't go too easy on Bill Clinton when he was in office. He didn't get a pass. They didn't take it easy on Al Gore and the "I invinted the internet" story. If anything Bush has gotten off pretty easy with the national media. How much have you heard about the lies they knowingly told to create support for the Iraq war? New light has come out recently on that story yet it wasn't all over the news like it could have been. I don't think the big three are left or right nor is CNN or MSNBC. You have an argument with the Jon Stewart show and yes Bill Maher but he is on HBO not free TV or basic cable. There are too many people involved in these channels to sway a message left or right without being exposed. Fox can do it because they don't have a problem letting it be known that it's conservative.
