Why should I watch us beat the crap out of a JV team when the Florida game is the following week? It makes much more sense to watch the Florida vs. Kentucky game for me. For us, their game is very important and we can learn a lot from it. Will Florida win and gain momentum to face us or will Kentucky find a way to end their losing streak to Florida? Will Florida continue to play 2 quarterbacks after this week? I could easily see Florida play a close game with Kentucky. It could be just like we did with Oklahoma and they end up losing a nail biter and them being down after having that winning streak broken.

I'm gonna watch the Vols play because I'm a Vols fan. I've been waiting all year for the season to begin.

I'm sure coach Jones and staff will be eagerly waiting on your scouting report...

I'll be watching the Vols bc I only get to see them play 12-13 days out of 365. It doesn't matter who they are playing, I'll be watching and cheering them on until I lose my voice.

+1 The season is too short and offseason too long to not either be at Neyland on game day or in front of a TV with the Vols on. Who gives a damn about the Florida vs Kentucky game?? The outcome of that game doesn't affect us fans what so ever

are you a coach? im...im just lost here? surely as a coach you will wait until after you have coached Saturday night to watch the game? Right? You must be wanting to learn so much about Fla because you have inside access to pass on this valuable information? Right? i don't know how much you will learn watching it live? its much easier once you can slow the game down and break down the plays? Maybe this is why our team is not performing? The vols are paying coaches that are skipping the game to watch other teams play?

Exactly. I wish we played 16 games + playoffs like the NFL. 12 (13-15, if we are lucky) just isn't enough.

I could care less about that game at this point. Florida is the pivotal team to beat this year.

I'm a fan of college football in general. I love SEC games and the big match ups.

The UF game has nothing to do with this weekends slate.

I will watch because it will be a great game but 2 flaws with your thinking.

1 Your understanding of them has no bearing on the outcome of the game lol

2 I would rather learn aboutmy own team and how they respond.

Probably the reason we are losing is because we our team thinks they are better than they are and so do our fans. Probably from running up the score on teams like Western Carolina only to get destroyed by the teams that matter the following week. Gives a false sense of reality sir, and it's been happening for how many years in a row now? Florida vs. Kentucky is a valuable game tape and holds clues on how Tennessee's game vs. them could go.

Yea, and watching the Tennessee game is still much more gratifying since i have no bearing what so ever on any game that the vols or kentucky or florida or literally anyone else is playing. I could be the utmost expert on any of them, knowing the plays, the tendencies, the strengths and weaknesses, but aside from bribing refs of players to throw the game, and that would be a challenge, my ability to impact any game is minuscule. Therefore, I chose to simply watch games for the enjoyment of it, and I enjoy watching Tennessee most of all. But you, as a coach, understand that you need as much information as can be provided, and maybe not coaching the vols on gameday and instead watching KY and Fla will give the vols the break they need. who knows?

Are both games on at the same time? If UT is playing a bunny why can't you just watch more than one game? This doesn't seem like that hard a thing to figure out.

Tennessee fans will be at Neyland Stadium Saturday. It doesn't matter who the opponent is or how good or bad they are. I Wait all year long for seven or eight Saturdays to be at Neyland Stadium, I'll be dog if I'm going to sit home and watch some kitty cat versus a Gator
