One of Pearls teams lost in an exhibition IIRC. Can’t remember the year. Exhibitions are odd games. I don’t put much stock into them regardless the outcome. Though you obviously want to see your team look and play good.

Last time UK lost in an exhibition game, they won both the SEC regular season and tourney, then lost in the NCAA regional final to a Dwayne Wade led Marquette team. (2002-2003).

I much as I consider Cal a slime bag, he does a pretty good job bringing his team along most years. It’s just hard starting practically every season with zero experience in the program & in the league.

Pearl's last year they lost by 15 to Indianapolis. I was there. It sucked. Nothing about that season was any good.
