Way too early Bracketology by Lunardi

Eh, he's not very good at scouting teams, so at this point this means little, he has no idea who'll be good or bad. I expect us to be no worse than a 5 seed, but that's jmo.

I think we'll be around the 5 range, but hey, it's college sports! Anything can happen!!:rock2::rock2::rock2::rock2::shaking2::rock2::rock2:

We cheer about that in the football forum. No room for it here. Were too excited about the best men's UT sport of the past 7 years.

Do not appreciate the trollitude.

Yeah..And it funny to see posts on here from last year asking for CCM to be fired....:peace2: Funny how winning and recruiting changes things...

I say at least a 4 seed. No way we go as high as a 10. IMO, in the SEC....

locks - Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Ole Miss, Bama, LSU, and Mizzou. I think Vandy and Arkansas both miss the tournament this year.

I guess Lunardi has to post something this time of the year to keep the checks coming.

Definitely wouldn't consider ole miss a lock. Their coach has been there for 6 years, a head coach for 7, has had much more talent in years past rebels team, and still missed the tourney. He somehow every years finds a way to screw up and lose to teams they shouldn't and they always end up on the outside looking in. Could they make it his year, absolutely, but to consider them a lock is a bit of a reach when Andy Kennedy is your coach.

As far as LSU goes, I'm not sure where you're getting lock from. They missed the tourney last year, lose their best player in Hamilton, and lose 2 other very productive seniors in storm warren and Malcolm white. All this, while replacing them with nobody expected to contribute much in the 2012 class. Add in they lost their HC, and this season should definitely be a decline from last year for them, id be shocked to see them dancing.

Alabama is much more of a "lock" than either of the 2 teams mentioned above, as well as Arkansas. However, you are correct on Vandy, don't see any way they make the tourney this year.

That's too bad about LSU. I was impressed by them last year. If Hamilton had decided to stay for his senior year and T. Johnson hadn't bolted, they probably had a pretty good shot. Johnny O'Bryant and Anthony Hickey are going to be good players for them.

Yea those 2 are good, but they lose too much and don't being anything, so expecting them to be better than last year isn't fair.

It makes me laugh seeing the difference in perception of our team...last yr alot of people thought we were going to be horrible and this yr with pretty much the same team, we are disappointed being predicted to be a ten seed.

Granted I think we will be much improved based on the natural progression of our players, better knowledge of our schemes, and getting off to a much stronger start in our 2nd yr.

Personally I would be happy with a 10 seed because that means we are back in big dance where we belong. Do I think we will do better than that, I sure hope so, but getting there in Zo's second year is pretty damn solid considering where we thought we would be due to the NCAA mess.

Lunardi has 5; Kentucky (1), Florida (3), Mizzou (6), Tennessee (10) and Bama (11).

I think 5 is realistic, and 6 is pretty possible; however I agree 7 seems unlikely.

Arkansas and Ole Miss will have a shot. We do have two more teams this year, one who was a tourney team last year, so one more than usual would make sense.

I think seven is our best case scenario, worst case is probably four. Depends on whether we as a conference can kick some ass in non-con
