We just barely finished the regular season & Conference Championship Games. Plenty more to come in the CFP.

— And we’re already looking at and debating over scheduling for the 2025 season?!!!!

When did College football get so far ahead of itself????

Part of the fun used to be unveiling the schedules and anticipating the match-ups during or immediately prior to football season.

Maybe I’m just getting old, but it seems like discussions over next year SO EARLY kind of take some of the shine off of what’s still going on NOW!

Can we not just “give it a rest” and enjoy this year’s playoffs / bowl games first?

Can fans not do what they want? How does what other people do effect your life? Way too many people think their opinions matter and can tell others how to think. You do you and everyone else can do themselves.. How's that??

Yeah of all the things to complain about this seems low on that list. I like the early release. I live over 500 miles away and helps me plan my plans better.

I remember checking the sports section of the Sunday paper to see if UT won and what the SEC standings were that week. LoL getting old now and things change
Knoville New-Sentinel & Journal were greatly anticipated on Sunday mornings after a game. Bill Dyer (& another cartoonist) had those wonderful Dyer-Grams detailing every play with clever notes & cartoons. Is there a publication available with these classic creations? I'd love to fine it.

As a kid, I would be pacing the floor waiting on that Sunday morning paper if we won. I literally couldn't wait to read about it. If we lost, I couldn't bring myself to even look at it even if the headlines said Martians had landed on the White House lawn. Now, you have game recaps, replays, and instant analysis' from every imaginable source within seconds of the end of the game to the point that it's overwhelming. I wouldn't trade the memories of those early days for anything.

I can be excited for the CFP and still look at next years schedule. The latter is like one day of discussion then back to another week of talking about tOSU.

Well, here's the link to when 2024 was announced, which was right at this time.

That’s because the schedule was released last night. It’s doesn’t take much deduction to understand why people are discussing it right after SECN has a show dedicated to the release. Which was their intent.

I think I like it better with more access to real time information. I don't think I've missed a game in years. Much better for me.

Then what the hell are we going to complain about?

Back in 2011 I saw a printed schedule at work and it had a game listed as Louisiana State University. Thought to myself “well, that’s a gimme” not even connecting the fact that it was LSU.
To be fair up till about 2007 or so we kind of had owned them in that series. They reeled off 5 consecutive wins up till Heupel put a stop to the bleeding there by stomping them in Death Valley.

I chalk it up to finding something to talk about waiting for the play offs games to happen. It's like sports talk guys drumming up something to talk about after they've worn out everything else.
