Wayne Chism and boliver on espnu at 7pm 2nite. If u have the channel give us updates on chism. they play mitchell HS, as u know the school of thad young and brandon powell

4 top 150 players in this game. powell to uf, young to gt, chism to ut, and kemp to memp. this will be the 4th 5* post that chism has played against this year. should be a great game. brentwood academy and ridgeway are also gonna be on espnu. this will feature 2 d1 players in wright and williams.

yup. the funny thing is that ut was in it for all 6 of these players. not a whole lot with wright, but they got chism and was in the final 2 for williams, kemp, and powell and in the final 4 for young.

hmmm, i didnt really follow uncs recruiting. im sure most of these guys were uncs 2 and 3 plans. i didnt know that chism, powell, or williams looked at them at all. i heard a little about kemp looking at them and young looked at them hard.

Anyone have any updates? I don't get ESPNU. I heard Chism hurt his ankle. Somebody fill us in.

chism had 13 points and 6 rebounds in the 1st half but left late in the 1st half when he rolled his hurt ankle. all i heard about young is that he had 3 fouls. chism didnt play in the 2nd half but the announcers were raving about him.

I didn't get there until near halftime of the first game, since I was @ Rippy's watching the UT game.

Didn't really get to see much from WC, because he got hurt right before halftime.

I will say this...Bandon Wright is the real deal. Since he is not going to be a Vol, I'm happy he's gonna be a Tar Heel.

Chism looked terrific tonight. He was the best looking player on the floor on this night, including Thaddeous Young. He can do it all. Great defense, when he was on Young, Young couldn't do much of anything. I know Chism blocked Young once and had a few other blocks. He has a good inside game with good post moves and a nice touch, he has really good body control and can handle the ball well as he scored a couple times on drives to the basket from arond the FT line, he is strong around the basket, he has a nice shot as he stepped out and hit a 3 pointer, he passes very well, he is a terrific rebounder, etc. Also, he is VERY physical looking in stature. He is a big, strong guy. He looks like a 6'8-6'9 linebacker.

He is already better than any post player on our team.

And yes, Brandon Wright is the real deal. He needs to put on some weight and get stronger, but he is gonna be a terrific player.

another thing to add to that wiz, he takes charges very well for a big man.

his total count is 4 5* posts that he has either stalemated with or handled.

Yeah, Wright needs to put on some weight, but most high school players need that.

He had a nasty dunk right in someone's face last night.

Chism has handled everyone he has played. I don't see why he wasnt a 5* but it wont matter. He will handle is on the court next year..

Chism is the most COMPLETE post player I have ever seen play in high school. He rolled his ankle with 3 minutes to go in the second quarter. So, in less than 11 minutes of action he scored 13 points, pulled 6 rebounds, and most importantly blocked 4 shots and drew 2 charges. Great intincts in knowing when he is in position to take a charge and when he is in position to block a shot. That decision and his willingness to take a charge are HUGE attributes that are often overlooked. His shot looks nice. His body control and footwork around the basket are great. Oh yeah, and he is also the size of a small mountain.
