He knows every game is winnable no matter the circumstances. And I believe his players have that same mindset.

Thought about this a little today…
When I hear “VOLS haven’t had any big games/tests,” my response is “you gotta be sh*tting me!” (e.g we played Pitt, UF, Bama and LSU… all teams we had long loosing streaks to)
Then I thought about our team- young men who by and large only “owned“ a year or two of those loosing streaks.

More importantly (beyond “big” games defined by those outside the program),thought about some of the turmoil those players who’ve been around for 4+tears have been through (coaching changes,etc). To say this team hasn’t been tested is stupid - credit to our coaches that our team approaches each game as “big,” regardless of bowl or ranking implications.

Every week its the same crap, 'UT hasn't faced a defense this tough yet', and every week UT's offense throttles the opposition.

UT's defense is NOT bad either. They have limitations they are dealing with, but they are managing them well. In fact, the way UT handled UK's offense makes it seem like the Vols' defense is pretty darn good now.
