We are 3rd?

Don’t think we can hide from wearing the #1 ranking after this weekend. It’s possible that LSU can carry the burden for a bit but Vols look pretty complete after this weekend. Thursday our youth were a question mark. Today they are a strength.
I'm a little concerned about our lob numbers but we look ahead of schedule.

I tried to find it the other day and had a hell of a time finding college stats. So I just calculated it myself. Took 3 minutes with excel.

Here's the formula LOB% = (H+BB+HBP-R)/(H+BB+HBP-(1.4*HR))
Here's where I pulled the stats 2025 Southeastern Conference | Baseball-Reference.com

Here's all the SEC teams.

@rpostr …sweeeet. Thank you! 🤗
NP. Frankly speaking, I didn't really care enough to figure out why they are multiplying home runs by 1.4 to calculate LOB%. A lot easier to duplicate someone else's work than to spend the time to figure out why they are doing something. It's really more of a pitcher stat so I imagine the 1.4 is used as pitcher's have some control of home runs.

If you remove the 1.4 and just go by pure men left on base, Tennessee's lead as number 1 in the SEC grows even more so I figured it was good enough to make my point that all teams leave men on base and UT is better than most at scoring baserunners.
