And our best player was out. Be proud. I know complaining about the refs is usually just a poor excuse, but my God. This was the worst officiating I've ever seen in a college basketball game

Blame the officials all you want but Alabama played horribly and we still couldn't beat them. Blame the true culprit, our inability to grasp the concept of a half court offense.

It wasn't the worst officiating I've seen, but probably bad officiating at the most untimely points....

We lost because we play like crap in the first half of games and they think they can come back and win. We are not that good at all.

Not beating a team that went scoreless that long to end the game and extended to overtime makes your statement an insult to handicapped people.

How much can we really place a 45-minute loss on one three-minute stretch of terrible officiating? Outside of that, the officiating wasn't that bad. Face it: we couldn't come up with the big shots when we needed them (I don't care if he hit three threes today, there is no reason Skylar McBee takes your last serious shot in OT), we got destroyed in the paint for most of the game, and we played like total ass for all but 10-15 minutes.

It's frustrating because Alabama didn't even play that great of a game outside of the paint. They had a horrible second half (17 points)...there's no reason for us to only get 28 points during that period. One more (free throws...they always bite you in the end) point and it doesn't matter.

Had there ever been a UT loss that wasn't "horribly officiated?"

Newsflash, our offense is pretty bad. We beat em on the boards like 1000-1 and bama couldn't get a FG in what felt like 10 minutes and we lose anyway.

Officiating wasn't horrible by any means, they missed some calls but they could have called us for some fouls in the second half. We lost the game because we couldn't make ft's and Goins had both 1 assist and 0/7 shooting in his worst game of the year. He took horrible shot after horrible shot.

At least we know Tobias isn't afraid to have the ball in his hands at the end of the game. Our D looked really good in the second half. I don't think the team realized how important this game was in the first half. We are about to play the two best teams in the league on the road and this was A MUST WIN GAME. We could easily be 15-10 at the end of next week and out of the tournament barring a strong run at the end of the season. Bad loss with or without Hopson missed free throws and stupid shots lost this game. I hope we play them again in the tournament.

Nope. Every game they lose it was 8-5 and the officials fault.

Never mind them running around in OT looking like they've never played the game before.

This.

I love the mental midgets that blame the refs but refuse to blame how poorly this team runs an offense. Alabama can't throw it in the ocean for the last 5:00 of the game yet it's the "refs fault"? Please...

I don't see why people on here are all over Mcbee he is a part of this TEAM and half the people on here are bashing him, if you can't support him then why do you bother supporting the team.

We're just not a good team when the game gets tight. We can't run a halfcourt offense and we are a bad free throw shooting team. Two really bad crutches in close games.

Literally the last 9+ minutes.

we're a couple guys away from being Auburn. I hate it.

thats just silly.

we got beat by a bama team that has been hot in SEC play. They did what they do best which is disrupt offense and our already fragile offense just could not get it going. add that to some questionable calls at key moments and this is the result. Not the end of the world. We should have won the game no doubt but i expect improvement when CBP returns, especially in close games.

You must of missed OT. Let me recap:

Turnover
Forced three that cost us a chance to score late

Goins played terrible. Golden should have seen more minutes down the stretch. Same with Bone instead of Mcbee in overtime.
