It was pretty evident after watching the LSU-Auburn game and our game vs Florida that our Offensive and Defensive lineman are a notch below the upper echelon of the SEC. What was our total rushing yardage...and I believe Ainge is still running. Our poor recruiting efforts are starting to show up big time. We were very lucky to even be in that game last night. Florida gave us a ole fashion butt whipping up and down the field. We will lose 2 more games (LSU, Georgia) if our Defensive line don't grow up and hit somebody, and our running game does not improve. By the way...we lost to a good Florida team...not a great one! What do yall think?:glare:

You hit the nail on the head......we've had a significant dop off in recruiting lineman especially OL. Last night we started a walk on at center. We could have used the likes of a Micheal Ohler that we lost in recruiting from Memphis 2 years ago.

Hopefully we will trend away from 6-6 370 types..........

Give me great foot work over bad feet and raw power............

Actually, that's the irony. Our O-line dropped a lot of weight this year to be quicker. But I agree, it's not the power it's the technique. I don't think Air Force had a man over 240 on the line, but their blocking schemes allowed them to run it down our throat.

300 pound types with good feet...................

The Center, RG and RT looked sluggish................

Who am I kidding, it was bad all around!

I'd give real $ to watch the Vols O-line coach stand behind a microphone and field that...
