Here's one difference between the impact of the game yesterday and other big games, at least from my perspective.

Previous wins, the reaction seemed to be, "We did it!"

There's been a lot of talk in the immediate aftermath of yesterday's win that signals, "We can do it." Players, coaches, fans are talking about the potential, about what this team can accomplish from here on out.

Beating Kansas was awesome, on so many levels. But it never was the highest goal for the season. It is an enormous shot in the arm for everyone, and they'll need momentum to compete in conference and in the postseason.

"If this is it,'' Pearl said, "then it doesn't say much.

"They've got to be just excited about playing Auburn on Thursday as they were about playing Kansas today.

"It's all about where we go from here.''

Stay hungry, boys. We're with you.

I am exceptionally proud of this team. The selflessness exhibited by the guys was inspiring to say the least. Not much more one can say really.

Go BIG ORANGE...

Good post - I think that this win has potential to be remembered as a much bigger win if it is followed by a successful postseason run.

I'm hoping this can carry over to, at the least, a 5-0 start in SEC play before we play Florida on January 31st. Even then, we should win that one, too.

My highscool team plays West tomorrow and they over match us easily coach used this phrase in practice today " If an overmatched Tennessee team can beat a Kansas team that has a whole bunch of all americans with three walk ons then we can beat west, he said we can do it with entensity, team work and heart" sounded good to me thats probably the same thing Bruce is doing. anyways pointless post...
