I love our 2014 class, and we will certainly upgrade our talent at almost every position, but how can we win with a bunch of freshmen in the lineup?

Our lack of speed on defense is a major problem. Where is that speed coming from next year? Weight room? Freshmen? I believe we're probably 2 years away from competing with the upper teams in the SEC. Am I wrong to think like this?

Our freshmen are already holding their own in games for the most part.

Let's face facts, Bama is a powerhouse and it's hard for any team to compete against them. But we've done well against Georgia, USCjr and decently well against Florida.

Next year you'll see the significant changes I think.

Bama has a ton of Sophs and Freshman coming up...We do like them ......just get the #1 to 5 top recruiting class each year....A lot of Our playmakers now are true freshman.....

6-6 or 7-5 this year...and 8-4 next year, I would call that two solid building years. The following year.... think breakout, 10-2.

We will be better at WR
Worse at O-line
Better at QB
Better at RB
And better on defense. IMO AJ has to come back, immediate help with Chris Weatherd, Maggit comes back. Whole secondary comes back. And we lose some up front but nothing we cant replace.

We lose a lot of lineman so don't get ahead of youself

Not likely. We have to replace our entire OL and DL.

Can't see the OL being better. DL will depend on how good the JUCOs are and how many we end up getting. Won't have depth at either.

O line could be better if Tiny stays

YOu will see a lot more speed next year with Maggit coming back JRM and Chris Weatherd will be playing OLB which will add another level of speed on that second level. Justin King is another really athlete that is going to be playing on the second level that is going to add speed.

As far as our secondary. Riyahd Jones is going to take Coleman's starting spot and our safties will faster this off season.

We will sign possibly 2 juco OT's, 2 juco DT's 1 or 2 Juco WR's 1 Juco LB 1 Juco DE

I wouldn't say were gonna be worse at OL. This one is vastly overrated.

You are disproving your own argument. If we UPGRADE our talent at every position, how does that NOT result in better play and more wins???

we have a bunch of freshmen starting and contributing depth on defense this season ..they have looked decent at times.

As a team , I think we improve next season. We should have a stable starter at QB with a decent back-up. The receivers have athletic ability and they have grown up alot this season. I expect the TEs to develop...they are green this season.

RB looks good with Lane returning , and Hurd could very well contribute right out of the gate .

Lot of decent young LBs and DL on the team now with more coming in. The secondary , with all the bodies , could be our deepest strongest unit.

O line is scary . There are several guys returning ...if anybody can sell Tiny to stay , it would be Butch. The young guys are the depth this season so they have seen playing time. The guys that are going to move into starting position all have pretty good size . They may be pretty good.

We may very well improve going into next season.

I know we lose some experience and skill at OL, but I also think we have a couple of nasty kids playing in backup spots. We hadn't had any really nasty linemen in this long era of losing.

Honestly, I know the o-line will lack experience and will lack the size that we currently have, but is that necessarily a bad thing in the Butch Jones system? With his read option/wide zone block schemes, I think we might be better suited with a smaller/quicker o-line.

Food for thought.

Assuming we go bowling this year, the biggest improvement will come from the additional practices we get through the month of Dec.
