Have we even seen the best version of this Tennessee team yet? We've had to win in overtime, hold off a comeback from a rival, controlled a worthy opponent at their house for an entire 60 minutes, and won a shootout against our biggest rival.
Kentucky wanted to control the time of possession and slow our offense down. The only problem is that they didn't have the talent to execute a worthy gameplan. Enter Georgia and the reason for the title of this thread.
We need to learn how to win a game now when we don't control the pace of the game. Georgia will run the ball and use their tight ends effectively. As much as I believe in our scheme and talent, I don't see this being a 50-49 shootout. Georgia will score points but will take it's precious time doing so. Banks will have trouble going head to hear against their tight ends. Their QB is not very talented but he doesn't have to be with that kind of team. We need to pressure him because he will make costly mistakes when he's forced to play above his potential.
All this to say, we need this game now if this truly is our year. I'd hate being shocked by Ohio State in the end just because we hadn't been forced to adapt our gameplan.
