I have watched the replay of the spotting of the ball 8 times and there was no conclusive evidence the spot was wrong. The QB got up behind the yellow line. The spot was correct. You could not even see the ball in the relpay so how could they overturn the spot of the ball. I feel sorry for our defense they played hard and got screwed.....

Love how people are ok with officiating inventing calls.

You act like this team was 30-6 the past 3 years.

His whole upper body was across the line, only way he didnt get it is if the ball was at his feet, and I guarantee everyone of y'all thought he got that first down right when that play happened.

You technically can not see where the ball is at. If you go by the ruling in the LSU vs TX A&M game we should of had the ball.

It doesn't matter what any of us thought regarding the forward progress of Vandy's quarterback on that play. What does matter is the initial placement of the ball. Barring a camera positioned so as to provide a view directly down over the line of scrimmage, there isn't a camera angle to which we were privy that provided "incontrovertible" or "indisputable" evidence that the initial placement of the ball was in error.

The replay official made the right call. He was marked too short initially. The only reason we lost this game is coaching. I have never seen a coaching staff do so little with so much experience on the OL. Butch made a poor decision by getting rid of Pittman. At least we were beginning to run the ball at the end of last season.

LOL....I concur, but not on the call, but by the staff.

Exactly... Besides maybe the Missouri game, this was by far the worst played, worst executed, worst play called, and worst game planned game all year. No excuse for that when you have 2 weeks to prepare and game plan for one of the most crucial games of the year and a bowl bid is on the line. The overturned ball spot at the end is not what cost us the game. Too many missed opportunities and poor play calling/game planning. Don't get me wrong, I still have faith in Butch Jones and his staff that they will get the job done and have us back to national prominence once they get the players to do so, but there was some really bad decisions made tonight. One in particular was that fake field goal on 4th and 19. I did not understand why he would do that.

we all knew he got the first down when they ran the play, then saw an incredibly bad spot. Nothing to argue about really.

Vandy clearly had the 1st down and normally they will give the offense a extra before they call a delay
