We got the right “White”

Mike White turned Hammy or Hart (I can’t remember which clown it was) for the head job at Tennessee to stay at La Tech. He got the Fla job a couple yrs later but failed there. Doesn’t look good for Ga either.

Danny on the other hand seems to be the right guy. We got lucky and got the “right White”.

The one positive about the Tyndall fiasco, Handsome Dave would spend any amount of money the athletic department did not have to make people forget how bad he bailed on Cuonzo, botched the replacement hire since he did not use a search firm and when Nike wrapped Barnes up and sent him from Austin to Knoxville after the Tyndall meltdown (Handsome Dave had nothing to do with it) Hart simply signed the contract with a $2.1 million salary, Rick Barnes ended up at Tennessee.

Nike hired Barnes to be the coach at UT? Wow--didn't know that. Twerp. I like Danny White well enough but don't understand all the hype about him
from fans. Yes, we had a good football year for a change, and let's see if Heupel can keep it going. He's not the first Vol coach to have a good year or two and get an extension, mind. If Heupel does take us back to the top--and that is /not/ going to be easy---I'm all for giving him and White a ticker-tape parade in Knoxville. Fans want to give White credit for some of the recent success we've had in other sports, and that's weird because White had nothing to do with it. Didn't hire the coaches. Coaches make programs. Football is the big dog, of course, and as I say, if Heupel can build on our momentum then credit to him and White.
