1) First the fans came here and trashed on Fulmer.... It was his time to go.
2) Then they trashed on Kiffin for leaving like he did.... Very understandable
3) Then they trashed on BP for lying.... I understand that as well
4) Then they trashed on Hamilton.... Some bad hires will get you there
5) Then the trashed on CDD.... Gave everything he had. Wasn't the man for the job but cared about the program
6) Then they trashed on Hart because everyone they wanted didn't want the Job.... Plenty of assumptions and tons of trolls later it's his fault! Right
7) Now they are trashing a coach before he walks in to meet the team. To many of you are beyond ridiculous with your middle school attitudes. Grow up and support the new hire.

If I were Gruden, Stoops, Gundy, Strong, Patterson.... etc I wouldn't want to come here either. Before you say all fanbases are the same, your wrong. Some conduct themselves differently. Yes they have cry babies that are the few of fans but I think we are overloaded with cry babies.

Just because you can come on here and trash people on a public forum doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.

If you took my life and pointed out all the mistakes I made then you would have never thought I would be fit to run a business. I would have never believed it. I run two business now and I don't deserve either one of them IMO. I was given the opportunity and I made it work. Sometimes I failed and but mostly improved and I grew.

If we were to look at your life would anyone be happy to have you as their leader, business friend, banker...etc (whatever you do)? I bet they could find reasons to not want you for the job. Point is you believe in you and others probably do as well.

CBJ deserves our support. Give him a chance before throwing stones right after the hire. He may not be perfect but this is his opportunity and I will support him until he proves me wrong, which wouldn't be after his first loss.

A lot of talk on VN this season was about how ppl wanted a dual threat qb. We're gonna get that. Several recruits are happy with the hire, as well as nearly every media member. Lets all take off the Gruden glasses and welcome the coach. I could care less who is coaching our vols. I just want to WINNNNNN!!!!

How old are you to cry on a forum about a coaching hire where no one else wanted us? Same as the CDD hire but that doesn't mean he will end up like CDD.

I mean our fanbase needs to wake up.

Oh, how I laugh at these sunshine pumpers. I look back and see the posts by these "posi-Vols" about Sunseri being named DC last year ( look them up). They were all "oh he's a great choice" or "give him time". We all are knowledgeable about football here with a few exceptions. Usually when 1 person says the sky is falling, you laugh. When 20,000 tell you that, you better believe it. The law of averages tell you that we are now batting 0% for 0%. After putting our faith in our athletic department to find good winning coaches that believe, eat, breathe and sleep in UT athletics. This guy might say "I want to be here", well guess what, so do the rest of the million plus fans that eat, breathe, sleep UT athletics. Not just fans, alumni, friends of UT families and the great state of Tennessee deserve a Homerun coach to take us to the promise land again......

Most of the sunshine pumpers here would get the one who graduated last and skipped the day that tumor removal class was held and then try to tell their family, oh he is really good, he went to Vandy.......

So what you're saying is that he's destined to lose/fail. Gotcha. Sal had an opportunity as well and it didn't work. He will move on and learn from. He's been in the business long enough to know that he still has a good résumé for a reason.

Calling the botched search process for what it is does not equate to trashing Butch Jones. Listening to Doug Matthews on 104.5 Nashville as I type. He's saying CBJ is a crapshoot who cannot really be evaluated yet good or bad, but the search was completely hamstrung by the continuing academic vs. athletic issues at UTK.
