Local prospect Handje Tamba commits to Tennessee, reclassifies to join Vols early
"Tennessee already had the No. 1 recruiting class in the Southeastern Conference for the 2021 recruiting cycle but Rick Barnes’ program just added another quality player to the group as 7-foot prospect Handje Tamba announced his commitment to the Vols on Tuesday.
That isn’t all, Tamba, who was scheduled to be a 2022 recruit, has reclassified to be a member of Tennessee’s 2021 signing class."

Watching film on this kid, I know next year is a 100% redshirt but he looks better than Uros already. He can handle the ball and he fights hard for position on both ends. He's going to turn out to be a steal in a couple of years.

Only saw him play once in person, but kid looks to be a project imo. Several walk calls and poor fouls in the game I witnessed. But...a better take than Plavsic imo.

The only thing I can figure is they were afraid of losing him if he didn’t reclassify. He’s clearly not ready for college at this point.
