the S---L---O---W---E---S---T football team in the FBS, especially on defense.

Been a fan for 30 years, and I understand everything that has happened.

But, WOW...after all those years of being known for TEAM SPEED and a fast hard-hitting defense, it is so hard to stomach how far behind we really are.

I am faithful during the good and the bad...but, man, it's getting more and more difficult to stay excited for any length of time.

Sorry to all the eternal optimists...it was either get this off my chest, or throw my remote through my television.

Instead of taking positive steps forward following UGA & USC, we've taken significant steps backwards. It's not just playing great teams. We are self destructing more often than not.

What has happened to the DEFENSE we watched during Georgia and USCe?

This defense doesn't even remotely look like the same bunch.

Brick by brick. It's a slow process. The program is at an all time low. Remember that. It will be a gradual and often frustrating climb back to relevance.

Hang together Vol fans. We are all we have.

The past 2 weeks have definitely taken all the wind out of the sails.....The Aub game is going to be brutal.

I agree with you but on the road is a different story than at home. And even thou Carolina beat Missou. I think if they line up 10 time Missou wins the majority of those games.

Why does it seem like our game planning has gotten worse, having the #3 hardest schedule blah, blah, blah ... perform to validate!!!

I am a pastor...and DAG-NABIT I'm not supposed to hate anybody...

But, I feel an unhealthy amount of righteous indignation towards Derek Dooley. :realmad:

Gonna have to do it the way Chavis did, (at least the good stuff). Safeties to linebacker, linebackers to DE, corners to safety. Either that or stop being enamored with stars and start looking at 40's. Oregon and Mizzou do not recruit based on stars, they recruit speed. If we want to get faster, that is what we have to do.

I said the other day their backup qb was faster on the football field than our entire d, and was given 40 times as an argument. Typical.
