Hey, you provided a link this time! Progress. Now just remember to include some of the story next time.

Tennessee's strong Class of 2014 continues to grow

Butch Jones continues to do an outstanding job on the recruiting trail at Tennessee, as the first-year Volunteers head coach picked up yet another commitment from a highly sought recruit in the Class of 2014.
Brandon Powell, an explosive athlete from Deerfield Beach High School (Deerfield Beach, FL), gave a verbal pledge to the Vols on Sunday morning after attending one of Tennessee’s camps Saturday. He chose Rocky Top over offers from Auburn, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, LSU, Nebraska, Wisconsin and others.

The 5-9, 169-pounder rushed for 1,180 yards and 13 touchdowns, caught four touchdown passes and returned two punts and two kickoffs for scores in his junior campaign. He projects to be a real threat as a slot receiver because of his very good speed and the ability to make defenders miss in space. He is rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and is on track to graduate in December so he can enroll at Tennessee in January.
The good news for the Vols came two days after picking up a commitment from one of the top linebackers in the Class of 2015, Florida product Cecil Cherry, and one day before adding Class of 2014 linebacker Gavin Bryant from Alabama. Bryant is the second linebacker commitment of 2014 and brings Tennessee's class back up to 16 commitments.

Earlier on Tuesday receiver Lawrence Lee decommitted from the Vols. He has a similar skill set to the talented and versatile Powell, so perhaps the Tennessee staff and Lee agreed that it would be best to part ways.

Those fans STILL think they got Bob Stoops :eek:lol: Oh lord this is gonna be funny when they crash back down to earth.

:eek:lol:

I have to say though - them dropping down the rankings can't come soon enough. It makes me uneasy seeing them ahead of us in anything football related.

Their class must be almost full and/or they're only in on unranked guys from here on out since they're still projected in the mid-late 20's.

Even that is still good for them. Be interesting to see if he can keep it going. They are probably talking about being one of the favorites in the East about now. LMAO

Matt Elam is one of those "unranked" guys. We still got a couple good recruits that we're in the hunt for.

And please...can we not turn every recruiting thread into a parade of butthurt vol fans? Be happy that you're recruiting so well.

Actually, I hope UK hauls in a top 10 class this year. And maybe next year. I want them so built up that the defeats will be crushing. Them losing 42-10 when the spread was +30 to start the game means nothing. I want to see them as good as they think they can be, then lets see what happens. Care, don't care, like, or don't like, Stoops is no joke up there. Even once all of the big boys commit, they're still going to have a good class, and that's just the way I want it!
