On some newbies:
Nico - limited but he showed good pocket presence.
Seldon/Keith - Seldon learned on his first carrier that you can't bounce everything to the perimeter at this level; Keith plowed straight ahead
Thornton - was quiet but so were most of our WRs.
Castles - he is a good athlete and I hope he gets more targets; looks like he can generate yards after the catch; blocked well
Campbell Jr - so far the highlight of the short year by driving that Virginia defender to the wall
Norman-Lott - was impressive and impactful. Had strong push in middle of line of scrimmage.
Hobbs - 3 tackles for a frosh DT in your first game is great sign.
Pili - he isn't going to miss tackles based on that first game.
Carter - was introduced early to college football when one of Virginia's RB ran right through his tackle; looks the part though
Jeudy-Lally - was disappointing when he got into the game. Easily beat off line of scrimmage for a big gain and the very next play missed a tackle
Ross - probably the most concerning position on the field. He is an older guy so if it was nerves as to why he punted so poorly, that has to give us some pause before we head into hostile stadiums like the Swamp.

Was it an opening through the middle with Seldons carry?

Didn't look like a giant hole. But I noticed his run immediately too. It was a classic HS running back move that is shut down at this level. He got shut down too. He'll learn I'm sure. Probably going in instinct developed that past 3-4 years.

He did have the return on the initial kickoff correct? Had a hard time seeing what was going on bc we had people parading back and forth instead of watching the game.

Oh ok, was it the run where whoever tackled him got hurt?

And was it anything else you saw/seen wrong with his play at RB or During Special Teams?

Don’t let some of the comments get to you on here. We are all crazy around game day. After the kid got hurt tackling him I looked at my wife and told her he’s going to be nasty! I can’t wait to see him shine! Did you get to go to the game?

😂😂😂....oh no brother, I don't pay attention to that. Just curious on more of what he saw wrong and maybe he should be doing.

No, he'll be fine. I am looking forward to him getting quite a few more opportunities this next game. But I kinda hope we keep him as our "secret weapon" going into the Florida game.

He is gonna be fine, he has a bright future. He has a great position coach and some experienced backs to learn from in front of him. His time will come! GBO
