When A goes up, B goes up. Simple minded folk, after seeing the pattern a few times, assume that A causes B. In reality, it is often the case that A and B are both caused by something else.

Well, its not the first time. Perhaps there is a causal relationship between people posting silly studies like this and me losing my mind and feeling obliged to point out the obvious, which is then lost on me.
