We Should Beat Mizzou - We Are Getting No Respect

Are we being underestimated because of our schedule?

There's a reason we get no respect.

We deserve no respect.

It'll get worse when we give up about 144 points next week.

Props to everyone who said we were overmatched in this game.

You were absolutely right. I was absolutely wrong.

Fairly shocked to see our offensive line manhandled the way we have been in this game, but they have been dominated by Mizzou like no other team has done this year.

Hats off to the Tigers. They've dominated every element of this game and will win easily. They did to us exactly what they did to all their other victims:

* Get ahead early
* Make opponent abandon the run
* Go into a bend but don't break pass defense
* Attack the QB and get turnovers

We knew what they were going to do, but could not stop it. No excuses. They are the better team and deserve all the credit.

Outside Neyland stadium, it is clear that we are a very bad team. Luckily the only road game we have left is against Kentucky . . .

I happy to eat the crow and admit I'm wrong. Of course, with the amount of beer I have consumed during this game it doesn't even taste too bad.[ It takes a man to admit when he is wrong.

It is very discouraging to see the D backs make the same mistakes over and over. I thought Butch could make it so that that wouldn't happen. I was wrong. If a players repeatedly does things wrong- find him a place on the bench and give another a chance. What do we have to lose ?

That 70 percent that voted that we are vastly under-rated , are you sincere or just engaged in wishful thinking? Would you have bet the house payment on the Vols plus 11 points? It is difficult to avoid the reality that we are not a very good team. We have played enough games that the breaks have probably evened out by now and we look terrible. These are good teams we are playing, but that doesn't explain the pre-snap penalties by our overrated O line. Things like that can and should be controlled- but its not happening that way. Why?

Thanks, man! I appreciate that.

Probably too early to point out that Auburn is 104th in passing yards allowed . . . :)

I kid. I kid.

Hopefully Neyland lifts these guys next week and they can kindle some pride after this whupping. Auburn is playing great football right now, though.

You need to stay away from your predictions. Ouch, I bet you wish you could erase all keystrokes on your thread. Typical irrational Vol fan. Emotion over logic 24/7.

Our team came out and laid an egg. It happens.

I really don't think that performance is indicative of where we are at as a team, but we can argue that later. We really seem to be our own worst enemy on the road right now.

I don't regret a single keystroke I have posted in defense of the Vols here. This thread was pretty entertaining with those on both sides of the divide giving good points as to why Mizzou was or wasn't the better team.

It turned out that I was wrong. Had I been right, I would not come in here calling people names and telling them they should hope all their posts were erased.

Nor am I afraid of putting what I am thinking and feeling out there and being wrong. I'm human. I was wrong. Big deal.

Folks on here called me delusional for saying we could compete with Georgia and South Carolina, but I totally understand that point of view after the past 5 years. No need to take digi-scalps because I was right on that front.

Respectfully, if I make predictions, they are mostly based on numbers and past performance, not emotion. More often than not, I am right. Check my pick 'em record if you want.

In the end. This loss stings, but I think we will bounce back and go bowling. That's going to be a lot tougher now, but we can still do it.
