There's literally nothing we could do but accept it lol. Can't do anything else. And it seems the committee was right
Your first part absolutely correct.
Your second isn’t remotely correct………this wasn’t even really subjective. Tennessee had clearly the better resume over Duke, and Auburn. They also had a better resume over KY but if one needed to split hairs there 2-1 head to head.
Tennessee got beat and the “seed” didn’t do it…….but simply losing that game in no way justifies the seed……the committee was not correct.
Agree. But our fans tried to use the Kentucky loss to justify them not deserving the 2 seed they had. Can't have that go both ways and say one loss justifies while the other doesn't justify
Tennessee should have been a 2 seed... and yet, they still would have either been beaten in the Round of 32 or in the Sweet 16. It's disappointing, but nothing new.No you can’t…….and that single Tx AM win shouldn’t have been any real deciding factor and it clearly wasn’t.
But almost all the metrics show Tennessee over the entirety was one of the top 8 teams.
I love CRB and I love this team. Michigan took Santi out of the game and it worked. JJJ is always a one half player and he did his damage in the first half. Although I think a lot of CRB, he is definitely not a tournament coach. He should give the extra mil he earned for winning the SEC, etc back to UT as a gift. He really doesn't deserve the bonus based on what he's already paidVery simple. Vols outplayed and outcoached.

Based on Tennessee's complete body of work over the course of 33 games played during the regular season and the SEC Tournament, they should have been a 2 seed. Obviously, the selection committee did not include the SEC Tournament results when evaluating Tennessee. If conference tournaments don't matter, that's fine, but that should be clarified by the committee before teams such as Tennessee put the effort in to play 3 or more games in consecutive days, a week prior to the NCAA Tournament, when they already have an at-large-bid secured.Based on the results of today, I don't see how we could complain about our seed #. Seems like the selection committee overrated us.
