We want Joshua

Fantasy's what? You lost me. I'll just agree to disagree.

Believe it or not. Fantasy's flying through your head or not. If Ferguson was the standout #2 (with Peterman out), he would be listed as such with no ambiguity. He is not. One poster stated on here in reply to my last post that Ferguson was getting the first team snaps. Bully on that. It has also been reported that Dobbs gets the scout team snaps. Does the scout team play against the second string defense? Or do they play against the first stringers that might need to have some idea what's coming at them any upcoming week. If so, consider Dobbs as getting the equal equivalent of a first string education. I'd be real surprised if Butch doesn't look at it like that.

If he is running the scout team offense, wouldn't he be running the OTHER TEAM'S playbook, not ours? Not sure how this would help solidify on OUR gameplan.

Just to be clear I said Ferguson was getting second string reps in my post.

Quite possibly, but he is playing football against the first team defense. Maybe his coaches let him look at our offense playbooks when he isn't busy otherwise. Just in case.

Fwiw, from Rucker tonight:

First-year Vols coach Butch Jones and his staff continue to remain as generic as possible with their remarks, but we have no reason to believe Jones has magically decided in a week’s time that true freshmen Riley Ferguson (the No. 2 right now) and Joshua Dobbs (the No. 3) right now will be ready to go and debut against one of the nation’s best teams.

Just sayin. Seems like he and most everyone else agrees.

Coming at you again. Do you possibly believe that our coaches and players are passing any information whatsoever to talkin' radio heads? They have air time they have to fill with speak waste. So if one is a Ferguson homer and touts him, does it actually mean anything? One or two of the heads have actually admitted they don't know d-squat. Maybe they need to join us here where everybody knows everything. Point has always been, when the slightest separation between the freshmen QB's is established, we will all know soon enough by definite words from the actual horses mouth. That be Brother Jones.

You're right, all the media are probably Ferguson homers conspiring to help him get the job. And Ferguson will probably not make the Bama trip since it will be Dobbs' turn. Got it.

True.

It's more comical to me that two players who have never taken a college snap are the most popular guys on the team. :)

Freak, just goes to show how sad our starting QB is in CBJ's offense. What's also sad is how CBJ has had to modify his style of offense to Worley's strengths (which I have yet to figure out his strengths). Just hope we can muddle through the rest of the season without looking like Fido's backside.

I agree

No he isn't horrible. Don't be a moron... again.

dude he isn't a good college qb. to me if the freshman are not any better than him then they should be sent home. he has some good passes and then he looks like he has no idea what he is doing. did the same crap in the florida game. now he is just blaming his hand. let the freshmen play. with worley out there we may win 6 games the same next year. that is the ceiling.
