Just goes to show you. Even a convicted drug user can draw up plays that work on our defense.

Well considering we give up 500 yards and around 50 points a game on average it's not surprising.. I've been a fan for more than 25 years , there hasn't been a defense this bad in my time...

i bet the play call went something like this.....

"i'll just run straight down the field and stand in the endzone. i'm 6'6 220lbs and the #1 recruit in the country, but they won't see me. hold onto the ball as long as you want to, then throw it in my direction whenever you feel like it. it'll be like stealin'"

Not a lot of coaching needed. Just run a 10 yard in and both the corner and safety will cover that guy so all you have to do is run down the field and turn around and catch the ball in the end zone. Vol DB's can't play man 'cause everyone just runs by them and they can't play zone 'cause they don't know what zone to cover. I only played to the HS varsity level but sometimes it is as simple as saying I got 81 you take 21. It’s pretty fundamental everyone has a guy to cover just get in his pocket and stay there. You will get some plays made on you no matter how well you play but to see guys standing in the end zone with no one within 20 yards of them time and again is just beyond comprehension.:no:

Goes back way further than that. Started attending games in the late 1950's before I turned 10 and no Vol defense EVER was even close to this bad.

You would think people would get this, but you may be giving our guys a little too much credit. At the end of a game when up by a TD, you know the offense has to score a TD to get back in the game... Simple math... Well to score a TD you must get in the endzone... Simple logic... As a DB, what do you do if you understand this concept? Don't let anyone behind you...

From this, I deduce that our DBs have neither simple logic nor the ability to do simple math...
