I watched and saw Vol fans put exterminator signs in Bill Battle's yard. I watched Majors get run out of Knoxville by Fulmerites, I watched the end of the Mike Hamilton era, and now the end of the short Dooley era. Things will get better. It may take a little time, but I guarantee you, there is too much money at stake to chance another risky hire. Every team, including this one, has its highs and lows. Yes, we are definitely at a low. If Hart makes a good hire, we will be back quickly. If he makes a bad hire, it will take longer. But again, there are too many boosters, a plethora of great facilities, and our deep tradition to allow mediocrity for any length of time.

It has been this bad before if not worse.. people here were just not around then.. late 50's early 60's.. mid 70's were not great either
