I think the vols making the sec title game this year would be great. Even if Alabama beats us again, it will be tougher to beat us twice and a young team will get more experience. I am not sure how not playing in the SEC championship would be better?(obviously if someone is injured then that would not benefit that individual)

I like the optimism but I am not holding my breath on SEC title game. I think the year would be a big success if we make a bowl game.

In a 5 way tie, GA & FL beat us head up. So no we're not going to win the east. Yes could possibly (and I use that loosely) tie for the east and claim a share, but we would not go to Atlanta. I hope we can finish 7-5 and get a decent bowl. That would be an incredible season considering the past 4-5 years.

I'm still not sure we get 2 more wins. Vandy will give us all we want. Auburn will score too many points, and Missouri will dominate us. Kentucky is the only sure win. Dobbs is the x factor, however.

I never want to see TN lose to ne body! But to say no I dont want to play in the SEC championship under a 1st year head coach with a team losing pretty much all the scoring from last year to the NFL and m 4th coach in 6 years is absolutely crazy! So you must not care for TN football period if u don't want to play for the SEC championship! Any body that says it is a bad thing is stupid! Yea we may lose! But the loss is way out weighed with gain! All kinds of recruits! I'm going to say it one last time and be done with this stupid stuff! If any says that they don't want to play in the SEC championship for any reason what so ever is STUPID ! It would do nothing but great things for the program!

I don't understand why anyone would NOT want to make the SEC Championship game, regardless of how it happened or that we're likely leaving getting a beating. Newsflash, whoever represents the East is going to get a beating more than likely.

Not to mention 2007 I felt the East win was a bit lackluster simply because we had been blown out in our 2 SEC losses and it had the feeling of "backing in". Most of us probably felt like LSU was going to destroy us, and yet we should have won.

I'm not saying that happens at all, merely pointing out you always accept the opportunity. To me saying you don't want to play in the SEC Championship this year because we'd get embarrassed is the same stupid reasoning some have in March with the "I'd rather win the NIT than get beat in the first round of the NCAA Tournament". Just....no.
