I just checked the forecast and it's calling for thunderstorms in Gainesville on Saturday.

Any comments how rain might affect the game, I can’t help but remember what happened the last time we played the Gators in the rain.

and I remember the time before that, when it opened up at Neyland and Mose Phillips splashed his way up and down the field

well, from my experience here at my college, we run the triple option and rain for us is BAAAAAAAAD news because you absolutely need dry grass/turf to make the necessary cuts the qb and the tailbacks will make, dry weather is also crucial to make a good pitch too. last year my college was up 28-0 at the half and the bottom fell out during half time and absoluetly saturated the field and we ended up losing that game 31-35 because we couldnt hang on to a pitch or make cuts without losing balance. not saying this will happen to uf but i actually think rainy weather would be advantage VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I would think the triple option would be a nightmare in the rain becausee of the risk of turn-overs, I may be wrong but I don't see Meyer running much of the option against us rain or shine with Leak as the QB, he's not the guy you want to use to run an option offense with in the SEC.

Yeah, Leak can't run and Urban knows that. He will probably just put Leak in shotgun and have him hang back most of the game unless there is an open lane the size of a 12-lane freeway.

I would think that rain is NOT what the Gator-faithful are hoping for. Rain usually necessitates more of a physical, north-and-south running game with screens and short passes. . . .a game type that would seem to benefit Tennessee.

I am pretty sure on this, not 100%, but almost 100% certain that if it rains on us it will rain on them too.

I've seen a few of those summer showers that you could see where the rain stopped and the dry land started, but I'm thinking on a football field we'll all get wet.

Let 'er pour.

We're a running team.

Yep. I think the rain will definitley work to our advantage.

My favorite mud game of all time was USC @ OSU back when SC had The Juice, OSU's field became a mud pit and neither team could move the ball. OSU won 3 - 0.

I disagree. Rain or Shine, Yourbane will run the Option. That is his offense and without it the Mythical Yourbane scheme simply does not exist.

Rain will be in our favor!!!!!!!
