Hard to believe Rodgers is that low on the list
He got put in a totally new system. It was really unfair to him honestly. He's a good player but Air Raid is all he'd ever known. K.J. Jefferson is the bigger head scratcher to me. He's regressed since his sophomore year. Man, what Heupel could have done with him.

I must agree with your take on Jefferson.. He did really well the last couple years... U would think Rogers would be good in any system though...I didn't think Caleb Williams would play worse than he did last year either but I guess u never know

It appeared that Milton should have kept the ball numerous times on the RPO…. Other than that he played pretty dang good
I think his rib injury since the start of the year that Heupel didn’t disclose til last week held him back from doing so. Hopefully he keeps on the same trajectory now that he’s healthy. Running the ball seems to be settling him into the game and getting things going for him in the passing game which could be due to DBs and LBs having to worry about him getting back there and running them over.

Thornton also had a injury they never really talked about till before the Kentucky game when Heupel said he is just getting back to 100 percent and he did have his best game too. It will be really big if Thornton emerges down the stretch. GBO

Milton moving up, and is now 0.1 from being in the top half. We face two of the SEC's best QB's down the stretch (Mizz and UGA), along with the absolute worst (Vandy).View attachment 591667
And to think the LSU and Arkansas QBs were preseason rated higher than our own Joe Milton at number three and we were angry about it. How'd the old school coach Bum Phillips quote go, "Potential means he ain't done it yet."

Milton is like a Maserati. Looks great, sounds great, makes everyone go wow but the reliability is just not there.

I'm surprised that Mertz is so high. I guess he can thank us for that.
He has played well in other games, particularly SC

He was a long time starter for Wisconsin also. Not saying that makes him great, but he has a lot more experience as a starter than Joe.

I think people forget that prior to this season Joe only started 3-4 games at Michigan and a total of 4 at UT, one of which ended early due to an injury. That's not a lot.

This is the first I’ve heard of the rib injury….. most are very painful

Yeah imagine trying to throw with that and getting sacked from time to time. Rib injuries make breathing hurt so I think people need to chill about him missing a few passes a game and not running in the first half of the season. And not to mention he also had his knee pretzeled at the end of the first half against UTSA.

Have you watched Daniels play? He’s LSU’s Hendon Hooker.
Yeah, Daniels is the best QB in the SEC this season. It’s possible that his backup might be the second best. Kinda kidding, but Nussmeier is really good!

Beck is pretty good also. He has benefited from a very good O-line which is a huge advantage for a first year starter, but he keeps getting better. He has struggled a bit when pressured, but seems to be handling it better. This final stretch of games will tell the tale on Beck I think.

Yeah Beck is solid for y’all. Do you get him for another year?

Will Rogers was suggested as one of the QBs that would be vying for 1st team all SEC, he sure misses the Pirate.
Agree-- my preseason college football magazine had KJ Jefferson #2 team all- SEC and Will Rodgers #3 and they are at the bottom of the list.
The magazine also has 6 of the 7 top ranked schools accurate to this point in the season. The only miss was LSU....
