Penn State will be exposed once conference play for them begins. They played from behind most of the game against BG.
All these teams ahead of us and I think we're either right there or better than all of them. NC State may be plain bad but we are taking care of business unlike most other teams.

Of course, WAY too early to take anything seriously about any of this, but it’s fun to think about.

Going by the current coaches poll, we would be the 11th seed.

1. Georgia, SEC Champ
2. Ohio State, BIG Champ
3. Utah, Big 12 Champ
4. Miami, ACC Champ

5. Texas, At-Large
6. Alabama, At-Large
7. Ole Miss, At-Large
8. Oregon, At-Large
9. Penn State, At-Large
10. Mizzou, At-Large
11. Tennessee, At-Large
12. Memphis, Highest-Ranked G5 Champion

With 5 spots going to conference champs, we will need to finish around where we currently are to make the playoffs.

There is a real possibility that we could finish ranked above the ACC, Big 12, and G5 champion, and still get left out.

We would beat Penn State by three scores, in Happy Valley. Drew Allar would have nightmares about out defensive front for weeks.

I’d love to get them at home in the first round of the playoff. They are the notable exception to our dominance over Big Ten teams.

Ole Miss doesn't have a tough game until October 12th. They may look pretty good, but boy are they playing some nobody's. Oregon and Penn State are both overrated. If we go into Norman and win then we're jumping up near the top 5.

I love that Alabama is still ranked high. In many ways, have your opponents ranked high is more helpful than your ranking because if you beat them, you get a big jump. Oklahoma didn't drop as well which was nice (they are overrated).

Oregon struggled with a bad Boise State team at home, and Idaho. If Tennessee did that we would have fallen out of the top 25.

Oklahoma may struggle or lose to Tulane next week. Would love to see Boston College upset Missouri. Hope OU wins so Josh can curbstomp a ranked Oklahoma team in Norman.

Not sure I see us that low in SEC at large pecking order but I'll accept your low ball for now

Coaches poll is such a joke.

Think about it. I watched ball from noon until midnight yesterday Sometimes on multiple streams (up to 3). I should get a vote.

Coaches. They thought about and watched their own teams from sun up to sun down, reviewed the scores before they went to bed and voted. On what scores? Several of those teams just like last week are so over rated. As CJH would say….

It's pretty common knowledge that most coaches have a GA or other administrative underling fill out thier ballot. They take it almost as seriously as their "coaches show". Lol
