The Associated Press expanded its college football rankings to include 25 teams in 1989. Since then, only one other Saturday, October 16, 1993, featured more ranked teams [8] facing off than this coming Saturday [7]. On that day, #10 Tennessee tied defending national champion and second-ranked Alabama 17-17 at Legion Field in Birmingham.
It's being billed as 'Shakedown Saturday'. Who will 'Shakeout' of the national championship title race?
