Arkansas came to town for the first of two home and home games with them before going back to Jerryworld in 2014. I'm a big fan of playing college games on campus so this was like a dream come true to finally break the streak the Pigs had on us.

The weather was considerably crappy, but it didn't slow anyone in maroon down.

Offense: JFF is/was impressive again putting up huge numbers and controlling the offense calmly while still taking advantage of what the defense gives him. We threw over the top and got the seniors involved which was great, and had a productive running game. The best part was, unlike in previous years, they came out after half time and turned it up to put them away. Something that hadn't been done in the last 3 years.

Defense: Moore was awesome again and considering they only allowed 10 points, I'd say there is damn little to complain about. Sure they put up over 500 yards, but we bended, but never broke. The Ags won the turnover battle and stole any momentum Arkie tried to gain. Great effort.

Special Teams: Too many fg attempts, but that's ok when you make em. The punting and coverage was great and I was pleased to see us avoid letting "the big play" happen. If Arkie gets a good run back early, things might have been more of a struggle.

Overall, solid SEC win against a very down team. Granted, we cant control who is up and who is down when we play them. I liked that Sumlin never let off the gas with the 2nd and 3rd string and continued to pile on. Some say its classless to "run it up" but if you're doing it with backups, I see no problem.

Next is Ole Miss in Oxford. They'll want to run and have a similar style with a mobile qb. I'm thinking their defense is fairly weak though so we'll have to see how that turns ot. Being on the road will be a change for our guys and Oxford is great a place I hear. I still like us to win though so,

Ags 42 - Rebels - 20

Maybe we break in to the top 25 after a road win? We'll see.

A win over Ole Miss probably won't be enough to break into the polls.

Will you post the rest of your schedule on here?

If I remember correctly it is very post heavy in terms of difficulty.

The one thing I'll say about LaTech is thus far, they're allowing an average of 37 ppg. They've played some pretty bad teams thus far too.

I think you guys squeak one out (mostly because I don't think La Tech can do this three times in one season), but who knows.

LaTech might be the second best team we face this season. That being said, we lost to the first one, so.....there's that. I dont want to look ahead though. BTHO oleMiss first, then we'll talk.

1 at a time.

I guess I missed something. I thought you were going to be USC's new permanent West game.

I think we're supposed to be their cross div rival but I'm not certain when that starts. Maybe next season? I dont know.

Johnny ****ing Football?

I was asking the same question about a month ago when I noticed posters on TexAgs were referring to him as 'JFF.'

Redshirt freshman and he accounts for 77% of A&M's 716yards of offense.

Now I know why they call him JFF.

If you can escape with only 2 more losses I would consider that a very successful first year. I think TAM can hang with anyone the thing that is going to take some time is going back to back to back to back against SEC teams.

When the injury bug starts you have to be able to have 2nd, 3rd, 4th stringers step up.... LSU will be starting walk-ons due to injury this week so no rest for the wicked in the SEC. You can complain about it but nobody is going to listen... you just have to keep going from week to week.

Congrads on the first win.
