Effort, effort, effort. One of the most overused compliments given to a team IMO becuase it should be expected. This team is really good and keeping composure and giving 100% every play. Sure makes us here proud. Here's how it went:

Defense - They looked great in the first half and kept a very explosive LaTech team in check. As the night progressed, they struggled to get off the field and allowed some big plays. I'll chalk some of that up to being out there for a good while. Credit LaTech for extending drives and wearing down our D.

Offense - Simply put, as long as #2 is taking the snaps, we are never out of it. I'm not jumping up and down screaming "Heisman", but the kid is just special. Losing Swope early had me concerned, but JFF found his stride with Malena and his wideouts. It also helps when you can run 60 yards all over the field for 23 seconds in order to complete a 4 yard gain. Like I said, he's special. Something off of a video game.

Special teams - Need to brush up on coverage this week in practice and everyone should run through some sort of tackle drill.

Overall - We have to tackle better and we've simply got to be effective on first down. LSU does a great job of pushing for those YAC's and their backs will be intent on driving the ball till the bitter end. I'm sad to see this be a 11:00 am start time, but the 12th Man will be up for it regardless. Keeping cool under fire and feeding off of positive momentum might allow us to be there in the 4th. Its going to be tough, but ever since we joined, this one has been circled.

This is the one we've been waiting for, and it's every bit as big as t.u. last year, and Florida to start the season. Both of which, we lost.

We'll see.

LSU - Saturday 11:00am

Put 8-9 in the box, don't turn the ball over, have a good crowd... you never know.
