Week13 USA TODAY POLL

#4

Is ANYONE the least bit surprised that Michigan stayed at #2 in the AP poll? ESPN started their promotion of a Ohio State/Michigan rematch over three weeks ago, and most sports writers are only capable of regurgitating what ESPN spoon feeds them.

Absoulute garbage. It is either OSU against USC or Michigan for the title. Is there a scenario where someone else would get in?

Why is LSU ranked above Auburn when they beat LSU and Florida and LSU almost lost to TN and Ole Miss!!!

L'ville is really getting the brown end of the stick if you think about it. USC is so close to Mich in the AP that I feel pretty confident the Trojans will get to #2 with a win, even an ugly win, over ND. It will be a good water cooler debate but when it comes down to it I fall in the "Michigan had their chance and now another 1-loss team gets a shot" camp. Really, if Mich plays OhSt again at best you will have a split NC IMO.

I don't know how anyone could possibly muster an ounce of sympathy for a team that lost to Rutgers. Give me a break! I agree with your assessment of Michigan. USC or Arkansas (assuming they win out) should get a shot. However, look out for Notre Dame beating USC and magically jumping all the way up to #2 in the BCS.

more specifically, bob davie stated his unequivocal promotion of um/osu shortly after the game. herbstreit didn't have enough of a sack to tell him that he was a moron.

for the record, davie is a moron.

ND can beat USC, but with Michigan sitting so high, not sure they are going to jump ND over a team that beat them by 26.

i don't think ND can beat USC... USC may be the worst 1st quarter team in history.. but they just may very well be the best 4th quarter team in history. quinn and co. will be in a lot of trouble

I actually think there is such a scenario. Basically, the poll is left such that the remaining teams have to play their way into the #2 spot. This is good because it appears that the winner of the SEC championship game will be ranked ahead of ND, even if ND beats USC.

I think that either:
1) USC beats ND and ends up playing OSU, or
2) winner of SECCG plays OSU

I agree with number 1. But I don't see number and 2 and I don't see ND having a shot at making the NC game either.
