Since I started tracking SEC vs. SEC games last week, I thought I'd post our rankings for this week compared to this week. Last week is in parentheses.

Rushing Avg. - 12 (12)
Passing Average - 3 (2) -1
Pass. Efficiency - 7 (7)
Total Offense - 9 (9)
Scoring Offense - 3 (2) -1
Avg. Defense Faced - 1 (1)
Rushing Defense - 11 (9) -2
Passing Defense - 5 (8) +3
Pass. Efficiency Defense - 8 (8)
Total Defense - 8 (9) +1
Scoring Defense - 9 (9)
Avg. Offense Faced - 1 (1)
Net Punting - 3 (3)
Punt Returns - 1 (1)
KO Returns - 10 (10)
Turnover Margin - 2 (T2)
Sacks - 10 (9) -1
Tackle For Loss - T2 (4) +2
Sacks Allowed - 5 (T3) -2

Once again, we're still leading the SEC in the Toughest Def./Off. faced by a decent margin. Pick it apart as you will, I'm not going to argue semantics of coaching is the problem, etc. as I'm compiling the stats for people interested. I only see subpar Total Off./Def. stats because of the quality of competition we've faced (again with the caveat of our Rushing Off./Def. which the running game showed improvement this week, but we couldn't stick to it because of the deficit).

Hope ya find these stats useful.

Rushing and Passing Offense combined against SEC only teams.

Makes sense, the Vols have played Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, LSU, and Arkansas. All decent teams.

All of those opponents have winning records. The teams that got to play Ole Miss and Miss State got a little break. They are the only teams in the SEC that seem to get blown out more often. However, both of those teams are improving. Vandy also has a losing record, but they have been playing well in almost all their games.

i dont think he's there much longer...he's in what, year 3 or 4? Next year is his make or break year imo. but looking at another loss to auburn...if they get killed in that game, that could be enough.
