I was looking at Laniers box score from the Virginia game. A weird thing I have noticed in recent years..guys shooting better from 3 than 2 and at volume. Its kinda nuts and a statistic you'd rarely see pre-Steph era.... I get that its because they are basically shooting 3's or layups for the most part and layups are a lot lower percentage shots than people might think these days. Its fairly hilarious because this feeds into the metrics. Of course, a 3-pointer is a better shot if you shoot it at an equal or higher percentage than you do 2's. I think the fact that guys don't shoot or work on middie's is the main reason. 3 level scorers are kind of dead. Guys like DK and lemon-daddy (both 3 level scorers) are the exception actually these days.
