Well not the outcome we ultimately wanted and if we somehow win it all you better believe we deserve it l. Not an ideal draw playing a pissed off ohio st but I think this team will be ready to go. We aren’t gonna blow them out and this matchup scares me. Ohio st is better than Oregon and should’ve beat them in their place if not for this qb that we gotta take advantage of. Need to keep the pressure on and I better see my boy Tyre west and Jason Jenkins in there. Besides the regulars I feel like they put heavy pressure on and I need Jermod following Jeremiah smith on every play. If not he will eat us up. Stop the run game and make Howard beat us on defense. As far as offense you already know Sampson gotta have at least 100 to win and I need some deep shots taken for bru and Thornton. Worst case we get a good PI call and at least give it a go. I really hope to see a little trickery maybe for once and we definitely cannot afford a Sampson fumble or heard and Campbell to get extracurriculars or false starts. Gonna be tough game for sure but I think we are the better team and see a hungry team on the road. Congrats on making it here and wish it was at home but let’s go beat these buckeyes up!

After boo pops Jeremiah smith across the middle one time, he will be done

Not scared of them. It will be a very tough game to win, without a doubt. It’s a blue blood on their home turf in the postseason. But this is definitely one of the weaker Ohio State teams of the last decade. Even Buckeye fans know it. Still means they’re really good, but this is not 2014 or 2019 Ohio State. UT doesn’t have to play perfect to beat them. They just have to play a solid game. Run the ball, win the turnover battle, play good defense and UT will be in that 4th quarter with a chance to take home the W.

Why scared? Ohio State might win, but they’re not intimidating at all. UT can beat anybody, just relax and enjoy the ride.
I agree with this, we can beat anybody. Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime. OSU doesnt scare me. If they go 3 and out on their first possession that place could turn on them quickly.

It will be a low scoring defensive affair me thinks. Our defense has been fantastic all year, and our offense struggles at times on the road. I really think their offense will have a very hard time putting up points against us. This smells like a 20 - 13 type of game, with the Vols having a good shot to win.

If the VOLS give 4 quarters of solid football and avoid the stupid penalties, they can beat any team in the country. For some reason, this has been a challenge.

“Enjoy the ride.”

You nailed it. This is only the second time in my Vol lifetime (started late 80s) that the Vols have been in the postseason with a natty on the line.

And IMO we are a year or two ahead of schedule. And that is called playing with house money.

I’m just enjoying the experience. I think we best OSU, but it’s not the end of the world if we don’t. Heupel is just now getting this thing started. I expect to be back on a regular basis.

Oregon is the best team in the country right now based on their results.
Tennessee shouldn't fear Ohio State as the running game is in the Vols favor.
I don't want trickery. I want Tennessee to be more physical and impose their willing rushing.

I'm interested to see how our offense performs! I think a lot of OSU fans are making the mistake of looking at stats and undervaluing our offense. But what is being overlooked in the myriad of season stats, is Nico's development and comfort level running the offense. We hit a few road bumps early on and Nico had to learn how to respond to adversity live against SEC opponents. He looks like a different player now. He is incorporating his legs more and connecting on more throws across the middle and on 3rd down. Overall, his completion rate is up too. We have slowly been putting more on his shoulders. And all becuase the stats aren't Heisman level, doesn't mean he still isn't very good. We just have the luxury of leaning on Dylan Sampson and don't need Nico to do it all.

I agree we need Nico to show the world why he is Big Time. Throw that with Sampson and we will beat OSU

This is by far the best first-round game. These two teams are so evenly matched, it's unreal. Same strengths, same weaknesses. Both have looked phenomenal when they show up, and vulnerable when sleepwalking. I really think OSU's home-field advantage will be huge for them. And their recent loss to UM will have them raging. It will be a tough task for Tennessee, but if the team that beat Bama, Oklahoma, Florida, and UGA (in the 1st quarter) shows up, I don't see us losing.
