I don't understand why Maze sat on the bench for the last 12 or so minutes of that game, but never in a million years did I expect you to go through that stretch 4-0. I thought 2-2 and a struggle with Auburn.

I don't know if I could have asked for a better coaching job during that stretch. And the last possession by Ole Miss in OT was the best half court defense I've seen from one of your teams since you got here. Job well done.

Now keep it up and make this a memorable season.

The last two weeks have easily been the best from a coaching standpoint in Bruce's tenure.

Maze sat on the bench because Josh Bone LOCKED DOWN Warren, Warren had 19 points in the 1st half, the rest of the game? ZERO, Including overtime.

Our PG's are play unbelievable ball right now. What a game by Chism. With play like that he will guarantee a shot in the NBA. 26 points, 13 rebounds, 3-5 3pts and 10-10 freethrows what a game!

Tyler leaving may be the best thing that has happened to Pearl and this team. CBP was very loyal to Tyler and wouldn't pull him even when he was playing terribly. Tyler wasn't a threat to shoot the ball and wasn't attacking the basket. Our offense seems to run much smoother without Tyler.

Not sure why the defense has picked up so much but I like it.

I bet the contingent of Vols fans that hate boring half-court basketball are extremely ticked right now.

Well our half court O still looked atrocious against a zone, but we won... and Ws are all that matters I suppose.

I would say they improve on it the more they rely on it. Until this point, the transition game has been the de facto primary scheme.

I'm glad Pearl has been able to adjust his style and become a half-court team. With the lack of bodies, we could not run-n-gun and I was afraid Bruce wouldn't adjust. But he did.

This is by far the most impressive two weeks he has had as UT's Head Basketball Coach.

The nice part about these last two wins is that the Vols have finished strong and played good D - hopefully the HC offense will come along.

Bone is what Tabb was supposed to be, and McBee is what Howell was supposed to be. Now if Maze can only become what R Smith was supposed to be, we can go deep into the tournament.

And I bet those Pearl haters REALLY hate this stretch too!

Yeah, I really hate beating the number 1 team in the country and following it up with a conference win against a top 25 team. You have me nailed. You know what else I love? Being the backup kicker.

4-0 during the stretch. This is a hell-of a good coaching job that Bruce Pearl, Tony Jones and the rest of the staff is doing.
