If you guys want to at least see what CBP and Lofton had to say to ESPN after the game, it is on ESPN.com... just go to the game page and play the vid. It starts with their crappy "highlight" reel... but whatever.

that's the problem. ESPN is the only network that covers everything. They just do a bad job of it.

ah, it wasn't that bad? i saw it this morning and they did this montage of coaches that wore "ugly" jackets and they made a big deal about CBP "joining the club".

on a sidenote, the morning sports radio show in Charlotte this morning, was really talking up this game, along with the Duke/UNC game. Gary Williams (the host, not MD HC) went so far as to say that TN has to now be in the discussion of #1 seeds. And he loved the jacket...the buzz, no pun intended, is catching folks. When TN/UK gets equal billing the day after a Duke/UNC game in Charlotte, NC, then you know people are noticing....

though Jay Bilas was on this show this a.m., and he doesn't sound convinced. He thinks C. Lofton though is one of the 5 best shooters in the nation. He's still not sure how to handle TN being in the top 5 RPI...it hasn't registered with him yet, maybe it will? who knows....all i know is it's great to be a TN vol.

Regardless of what analysts and others may say, for TN to go into such a hostile environment like Rupp arena and WIN!!! speaks volumes about what CBP has done for the program and that these boys are for real!!!

Sportscenter this morning DID put Patterson's dunk at number 5 in their Top 10 Plays.

ESPN sucks. During the promos to Sportscenter this morning, instead of showing one of the VOLS good plays, they showed Bradshaw falling down. Instead of talking about how well the Vols did in beating Kentucky at Rupp Arena, they ragged about Pearl's jacket. ESPN is so biased against the VOLS. I don't see how SOME people can't see that. :espn:

That play was actually one of a few where Bradshaw dove out of bounds to save the ball for UT on a steal. Think that was the one where he hurt his hip as well.

Well ESPN didn't show the save, they just showed him falling. :rolleyes:

and of course 'ole JJ is on the frontpage of every sports site(espn.com, cnnsi.com etc). he only had 4 more points than Chris Lofton and wasn't nearly as accurate as Chris was from 3-point land(5-12). with espn and tennessee, they always seem hold back

ESPN doesn't want to give us the due respect we deserve. They know we are someone who has to be recognized and it is just eating their hearts out. But the bottom line is and the scoreboard shows it...Tennessee Walked Away With A Win At Rupp Arena, somebody didn't take care of their house and its killing a bunch of folks right now.

Whatever. I have heard nothing but praise for Tennessee basketball coming from ESPN. Yeah they made a few digs on coach Pearl's orange jacket. So what? Road crew orange isn't exactly a great-looking color to most people.

Whatcha talking about... anyone that doesnt like orange hasnt had enough pearl-aid :D

really though guys, all espn has been doing is praising good play by the vols and they were just poking fun. everyone knows that this is a good team, give it a rest...
