First off, people in Knoxville do not know proper concert etiquette. Do not bring your g/f guys if all you are gonna do is hold each other and look bored. Girls put down the f'ing cell phones for five minutes please. My god. I saw at leat 59 people text messaging during this concert. And we were ten feet from the stage. Get a life. Move away from the stage and let people who came to dance and have fun come near the stage. Pathetic. It is like a football game where the girls come to be seen and leave at halftime.

Now for the concert. I got there half way through Theory of a Deadman's set. They rock. Sound really clear. Guitars sound good. Go see them if you have the chance. Now for the main event. SHINEDOWN.

I have their Live from the Inside DVD so my expectations were huge. That concert is bad ass. They started with Devour and just rocked out big time. I was disappointed that they only played 3 songs from their first album b/c it is perfect. But it was a great show. Brent Smith looks just like Ozzy on stage. You have to see it to understand. The new guitarist are pretty good too.

Here is my letdown. They end the show with "Fly from the Inside". Great song but they hadn't played Simple Man and I expected it to be last. So we wait but instead he brings his g/f on stage and propeses. Then they leave. NO SIMPLE MAN. What the F? I love this band but i would not have driven to K-ville on a work night if i had known they would not play it. I am severly disappointed. I heard they aren't allowed anymore but that makes no sense to me.

So if you can live without hearing the greatest song ever written then do not miss out on Shinedown. Very very good.

Hey Knoxville, at concerts you are supposed to have fun. Get a freaking life. Boooooooooooooo

Sorry CBC but I just couldn't stay away from this thread. I'll start off by saying if I had to see Shindown in concert I'd be texting my fingers off as well. But seriously I can understand your frustration with the cuddling couples in the crowd. Kids were doing the same thing at Chimaira/Killswitch and there is no way you can cuddle to that music...ridiculous.

Now you can go ahead and be honest with me and admit that you wrote this paragraph for the sole purpose of getting under my skin. Well it worked. Maybe Shinedown just came to their poorly tasteful senses and realized they were destroying an already great song. But seriously (lol) I've heard Shinedown is very good in concert. I still ain't seeing them but it sucks you were dissapointed. A concert is supposed to be a sacred experience and when that is ruined, especially by the stupid people around you, then it sucks big time.

Thanks. And they do Simple Man very very very well. Your opinion is your opinion. I am the biggest Skynyrd fan on the earth and still love it. Gotta love free will. I even have the Shinedown version as my ring tone.

I was pretty surprised at how tame the crowd was, as well. There was a constant pit (or two) at 10 Years, and it wasn't nearly as crowded. I thought both TOAD and Shinedown put on great shows. I said the same thing about Brent resembling Ozzy on stage (not a bad thing).
