...lots of football left to be played including conference schedule, but if I'm going just on week one alone....

I think we make it 2 in a row over USC, that combined with Ark St, Chattanooga, UK, and total destruction of Vandy we are sitting at 6 wins.

I think we are still a year away from beating UGA and UF is still a mystery at this point.

6-6 with wins USU, Ark St, Vandy, UK (can't overlook), Chattanooga, Missouri
Florida a maybe but Mizzou because they have the same feel as USU. Great QB but not a ton of weapons

We have no line depth. Hope for 6 wins and if we hit 7, then amen to that.

Exactly. If the O-Line played better I might up my prediction to 7, maybe 8 wins. 110 yards rushing with a 2.8 average against a mountain west team or whatever isn't going to cut it against conference play.

You guys are not seeing what I saw......the O-Line was getting abused by USU, what do you think will happen when we play SEC teams.............also, Worley has to get his timing down and he's still not connecting on the deep ball..............something continued from last year...........but anyway I STILL LOVE THE WIN !!

You're damn right I did. It's a great day to be a Tennessee Vol.

Don't want to rain on your parade...but we've still got a lot of concerns to deal with. Run game really struggled tonight against an undersized defensive front....defense looked great (but this was not an SEC caliber opponent tonight). Don't get me wrong....I'm proud of the win tonight (Heck I hope we win them all)...but we've still got a LONG way to go. GO VOLS!

We're going to get 8 wins this year.
USU
Ark. State
Florida
South Carolina
Missouri
Kentucky
Vandy
Chattanooga

We can get to 8 wins - but I consider the following now toss - ups that could go either way - Florida, South Carolina, Missouri, and Mississippi - we need to stay healthy.

Also - Georgia can't throw deep - so that one will also be interesting and much closer than you expect. 7 or 8 wins is indeed very possible.

Unless things change significantly, we are going to pick USC apart. Their secondary looked horrid and our passing game seems to be a strength this year.

Huh? He completed 70% of his throws I'd say his timing was pretty good. Looked confident.

Agree on the deep ball.

You're right on several plays. Pass protection was okay, but not great. Worley had to avoid several sacks by shaking a tackle. Mack Crowder also got completely blown off the ball and bull rushed 5+ yards into the backfield on one play which really scared me about our strength. However, we scored 38 points and maybe they will be much better on Saturday.

Last night was very encouraging especially on defense, but to be completely honest the competition was NOT very good. The Vols will be truly tested when they travel to Norman and then to Athens.

This team can be very improved but still only 2-2 going into the UF game. Beating Florida will go along way to a winning season and a decent bowl game. Losing to them means more of the same with the Vols finishing anywhere from 7-5 to 5-7.

Worley will smoke the Tide too did you see how badly they played?

Jk its just week 1 but even with a ssub par line Worley played excellent and that's what will get us to a bowl.

I heard Crowder was sick and played with the Flu last night.
