Wes Rucker's preview of Michigan-Tennessee

A crappy three-point-shooting Tennessee team going up against a lineup full of short guys in an 8/9 matchup. Sounds awfully familiar. Think we'll shoot 33 threes again this time?

If we are smart then we will drive the crap out of the lane all night and draw 15 billion fouls then when we get a lead we will continue to do so. That being said, yes we will get a lead and then proceed to shoot 3000 three pointers while making two or at least until it is a 1 point ball game heading into the 2 minute mark.

Good read, i think Hopson will have to be focused on offense more than defense in this game because Michigan can pop shots from anywhere on the floor and hit them, we can't be scoring 60 - 68 points it'll need to be 75 - 80 to win which kinda worries me.

I don't like the matchup , one and done is sounding about right. They'll jack up a bunch of 3's waste 20 possessions doing so and piss away any chance at a win.

I'm afraid that Friday could be the last time we see Bruce, Scotty or Tobias.

All 3 could be gone next year but I doubt it. I think they'll all be back next season.

Pearl should be telling his players "The first player that jacks up a 3 will be sitting for the rest of the game". I hope we drive the basketball and pound the boards all game long.

Man you guys are pessimistic !

I know that we've stunk it up for three months, but for me -

Hope springs eternal !

While I agree for the most part, most of our big wins have been a result of us getting hot hitting from beyond the arc. It drives me crazy to see them jack up threes at the beginning of the shot clock, but its equivalent to air out the ball to open up the run game in football.

If you completely give up on perimeter shots, they'll crowd the lane and you won't get anything.

Now, when we take a three that's hotly contested, that's a completely different story, and it drives me absolutely, up the wall, bat s*** crazy!

well if that's what he's telling the team then he's telling mcbee and tatum that they're not playing cause that's exactly what they would do within a minute of entering the game.

Bruce, probably. Tobias, maybe. Hopson, late first round pick most likely, but definitely drafted.

Vols will handle them easily.
Sorry to be right but, oh yeah, I wasn't I under estimated the lack of effort.

A long season is finally over. Now it is time to bury the dead.
