I think Washpun presses too much. He seems like he is trying overly be agressive when he gets out there running around out of control. If he can learn to use his athletic ability in spurts I think he would better serve himself. Right now he just comes flying around 200mph and refs arent going to have that. He is just a freshmen so he has plenty of time to grasp the game.

With the addition of Stokes, they have actually rotated some players to different positions to get the best playmakers in the game. That is why you see Cam and Richardson running the point some. Gives you a little bigger line up and allows you to play stokes without having to take out your best players.

Really think people need to lay off Golden.. he is only a sophomore and what were the stats on his scoring from this year to last year? Something like +11.2? Do you guys not remember the floater he had at the end of the game that was clutch as hell?

He will be a beast his Junior and Senior years, book it.

He also leads the SEC in assists according to the announcers last night...

The fact Woolridge is starting over Hall amazes me though...

Yeah, only thing I can think of is that Woolridge is a little more versatile. I really think that Hall plays better off the bench, or he did the first 2 games Woolridge started.

I will say this about Woolridge, he plays very soft when playing in the 4 spot. For his size, he should at a minimum be able to keep his guy from backing him down.

Hall gets starters minutes it's not even close for some reason he's just been better off the bench. Woolridge last night played only like 9 minutes I wanna say, kenny had 22 I think? It doesn't matter because stokes will be starting soon instead of Woolridge, you'll still get hall off the bench.

I mean, what happened to Woolridge? Was he just that overrated coming out of high school?

Woolridge has the physical attributes to be a star. He lacks the mental aspect of it.

He was pretty good in highschool, probably got a little extra attention because of who his dad is.

I attribute this to a few different things. I think he was probably a bit overrated, I think pearls lack of developing players also contributed, I question his work ethic when he first got here as well.

This is my biggest issue with him. I can't say for sure because I haven't been in practices, but that's what I get from. Seems more worried about his music, or use to at least until Zo arrived.

Yea I think he was that way until this year. His work ethic is much improved from last year and I think that's what earned him a starting spot. He clearly is lacking in some areas though.

Woolridge is pretty soft rarther shoot the three then bang on inside.Anybody else think we have too many in the rotation

I agree completely. Golden is the most consistent scorer we have from the guard position, really the only scorer. He has kept us in some games. For a 2 guard trying very hard to convert to a point, he is doing an excellent job. If he didn't have to be our only outside scorer as well as be the point guard, he would be much better. Leading the SEC in assists doesn't equate to being bashed as many are doing on his point guard play.

i am at a cross road on what i think would be best for trae. obviously right now he would be best suited to play the 2 guard where he could probably up his pt, fg%, 3pt, and rebounds, his assists would go down but so would his turnovers. obviously short term this is what is best for him, but i wonder his take on this. Long term obviously it is his dream to play in the NBA, if he has a chance it is at PG and not SG. So while right now playing PG is hard for him, if he learns it and can figure it out by next year or even senior year he will put himself in the best position to land on a NBA team. Much like another guard that was 6' 1" here named lofton, obviously not the same shooter, but knew that if he was going to play in the NBA it would be at the PG position. Do you guys remember that pearl wanted to start playing Lofton at PG because this would be beneficial for him in the long run. Just though i would share.

Washpun plays hard, can jump out of the gym, and is a good defender. But he's a disaster with the ball in his hands. Luckily, he's still young.

I see him if he stays here as being a situational guy at best. Comes in to defend someone for a short period. I don't expect much more than that from him.
