Hit with two years for recruiting violations. Maybe one of you can post the link, can't on my phone.

meh, just some phone calls and texts. I don't really see what the big deal was unless they were Brett Favre style texts.

That's probably what Kelvin Sampson thought too... In recruiting every bit of contact counts. Although it seems here the biggest offender was a coach of the women's gymnastics team, so not really worth a mention.

I just find it funny schools are busted for this stuff when much bigger violations occur. I mean, wasn't there a recent picture of a recruit holding a was of cash? Maybe it was fake, but serious crap seems to go away.

Bigger situations occur, become public knowledge, proven, and still nothing is done, like Auburn/Newton, FSU/Winston, North Carolina/everything, etc.

WVU doesn't affect the bottom line or produce enough eyeballs to get preferential treatment (not that they should).

I hope that Kentucky's new OC, who came from WVU, is not implicated.

the article doesn't say how much 'illegal contact' there was. was this one phone call and a dozen texts over a two days? if so not a problem, if this was something going on for a month or so then yeah i could see that being an issue

I just saw where Florida is about to hold a presser concerning NCAA infractions as well. Not gonna start a low thread cause I can't link.

And has anything happened to UNC?
