And a lot of you are already jumping off cliffs. Calling for true freshmen Qbs who started the season 4th string after the 2nd string just became a laughing stock, and some already want the staff cleaned out. I have been a member here a long time, and this board has never ceased to amaze me. The stupidity of some people is just...words can't even describe. Freak, can you make a seperate forum for intelligent people who understand football and where our program is at right now and make it by invitation only? I'm not sure how much more of this I can take.

Yeah but the Florida game started with a pick 6 and their starting quarterback was injured - gave us (me) false optimism.

Yes. But understand the qb had his ankle broken as he threw the ball and it was intercepted by a walk on true freshman who honestly probably shouldn't be on the field...and that's coming from someone who lives in kingsport and watched swafford play all through high school.

It just seems to me everyone is so concerned about not blowing south Alabama out! Just think back over the years, there has been many close game with teams we should have blown out! And we finish the season just fine those years! A win is a win, I don't care how ugly, or who the opponent is! Just win and I'm happy! On a side note this year reminds me a lot of our 09 team! Hope Worley can have a break out game!

Finally a thread I can reply to. OP you are exactly correct on needing a "invite only" thread. Now to football before this one is hacked.

Worley's foot work looked horrible in a lot of his drop backs Saturday, feet to close, throwing off his back foot several times, and bringing the ball down before he starts his throwing motion. He is also waiting for the receiver to "get" open instead of "throwing" him open which affects route timing.

It'll take some time I guess, hopefully sooner than later.

Look I'm on the side that think CBJ should get 4 years at the bare minimum unless he does something crazy and embarrasses the university which I highly doubt. But don't come on here and bash people for their opinions just because it doesnt agree with yours. This program has been down for the better part of the last 8 years, Tennessee is a very proud and passionate fan base and the one thing we have in common is we are tired of losing and being the laughing stock of the south eastern conference. Some just have more patients than others. We will know whether CBJ and company can get it done soon enough, we should see some improvement as soon as next year hopefully. I hope we do go 6-6 and make it to a bowl but if we don't we don't shouldn't hurt anything we haven't been to one in 2 years anyways. So sit back relax go to neyland Saturday just like me drink some jack and have fun.

THANK YOU! I was beginning to wonder if any of these people had any common sense. You just restored my faith in Volnation. Some of the people who post on here are totally ridiculous. The only other explanation is the "troll count" is extremely high.

Yep. Oregon ranked 2 Florida ranked 18 GA ranked 6. We have the toughes schedule in the country no doubt!

This is going to take time. We aren't going to be able to compete for the sec championship for at least another year probably two. The faster some people accept that and accept where we are the better off they will be. Trust our coaches. They get paid millions of dollars to make tough decisions and they see more of these players tham any of us even think about seeing. If in 3-5 years and we were still sitting here in the bottom then yeah, we might want to start thinking about looking elsewhere. But Butch has a great recruiting class and he deserves his fair shake just like Dooley got. I support our current players, former players, and our staff. There's an assload of people on here who don't support or respect any of the three.

If the OP will get on here and show all of his pre-season posts showing that we should all be patient and that the "Butch Gets It" crowd needs to realize this is going to be a long rebuilding process then I would be all for Freak separating this forum.

Something tells me you were Full Butch from the get-go and were saying how this team would be improved.

I was hoping for it, too. It just hasn't happened.

CBJ has a system. What he doesn't have is QB to run it. JW was a pro style QB trying to learn new system. You don't change your system for one year he help QB and set everything back a year. Hopefully JW will keep getting better as year goes on. But for all the crap on here is funny. I see improvement all over field and guys are getting better. You can't coach speed and we don't have any on D, and it's hurting us!! But I look at D and feel we are getting better. We got way up on decent team and let up, pure and simple. Remember a lot were worried about Western KY, and this team beat them!!! We just lost to FL in a game I'm sure all those young men knew we were in and could of won. We have brutal games ahead, heck I'm glad they did as well as they did!!! Anyway my rant won't change anything but I feel better!!! LOL GBO

I'm glad for the win and yes the game this weekend was disappointing. I've read just about every recent post in this forum since the game. I couldn't agree more with you. Some of the stupidity that I've seen on this board this weekend is sicking. Some people here need to a grip and realize that CBJ has had 5 games to try and mold a team to his format for coaching. None of the players on this team have any experience at this level with his system for more than 5 games.

Compared to last year:
Special Teams WAY BETTER
Defense better
Running game better
Passing game not nearly as good
But that might be because we lost 3 WR's and a QB to the NFL
If you can't see the improvement in every area that the talent level has remained the same I just don't know what you are looking at.

Yeah. Shame on me for supporting the new coach and being excited about his energy.

This team has improved, we just lost pretty much entire offense to the nfl. Everything else has improved, not sure how you could say otherwise.

Everyone was hollering for Peterman vs Fla & they got their wish. We see how that turned out & a week later none of them have learned their lesson. I'm pretty sure CBJ knows a tiny more about coaching than any of us!
